The game boy castlevanias are not bad but especially the first one belongs to the weaker games of the franchise.

@root42@chaos.social The times I've dipped into Castlevania I've always been frustrated by the character walking like his boots are pushing through treacle. Soooo slooooow.. No idea if it gets better like Link's pegasus boots in Link to the Past as I've never stuck one out long enough to find out haha

@root42@chaos.social they're all a bit tedious on GB to me, just the movement. Same with NES ones. Love em. But had a bit more fun on DS or 3DS? Or SNES. But any vania game, I'm in.
