Was it here that the hitchhiking robot met its end?

Indeed. Multiple other countries, no problem. Started the US journey in Boston, all good there. Got to Philly and the signal went dead. hitchBOT's head was never found.

The company also confirmed they haven't had any issues in the other countries or locations of the other Portals, just in Philadelphia.
