Every time I try to upload an image, I receive an error stating that my account is too recent to upload images.
I understand the mechanism, but I couldn't find anywhere what the threshold is.
Additionally, I noticed this restriction also applies to community logo/banner, which is a bit more restrictive.

I signed up with lemm.ee a few months back and it was 4 weeks -- 28 days.

You could just use Imgur. If you do this
![]()and put the link in the parentheses it'll show up the same as uploading it. Example:Bubs@lemm.ee · 3 pts · 1y
I recommend Catbox.moe
Imgur is convenient sometimes, but It's impossible to trust them after they purged a large chunk of their images some time ago. They deleted all anonymous images, basically killing a large swath of old forums, guides, and sites containing information that we'll never find again.
Plus, they run imgur like a tacky social media site now, not an image hosting site.
Another one I've tried. Works fine and is well known. imgbox.com
Stolen from the sidebar of r/imguralternatives. Haven't used them myself, but they are well known:

Catbox.moe creates issues for quite a few people, the topic comes up regularly
I now use https://postimages.org/web

Really? Dang. I'll have to look up the problems then.

If you research "catbox.moe" a few posts should appear. Seems like they are blocked in some countries for some reason

A bit of an additional thing:
I've had too many problems using both the lemm.ee uploader and imgur uploader using Summit on Android. Some images just refuse to upload. Switched to Catbox so I didn't have to deal with the constant failed uploads.
