Not a pokemon joke: what's that target? I mean is it DIY all the way or? What's it filled with? I was about to post a question about experiences with target material, when I saw your post.

It is (was) full of old clothes and towels. Worked really well, I put probably around 10k shots into it before it was done.

Thanks for the input. As I recall you shoot a compound bow, right? I have no idea how to compare energy with recurve. I mean we measure draw weight.

10k shots would be pretty ok for a DIY target, but what diameter shafts were you shooting? Just approx.

I think the 4mm shafts my archer shoots will deliver the energy to the target slower, than the traditionally thicker compound shafts, thus requiring more resistance from the target.

Do you know how fast your arrows fly, or your draw weight and "gearing"? (it probably has a different name)
