A pair of gannets I saw on Heligoland in April 2016.

Taken with a very simple, small electronic camera (not the phone).

A pair of gannets, one grooming the other. They are big white birds with long beaks, their necks are light brown, the beaks light red with black edges. The wingtips are black. There is a third gannet sitting a little to the left and below them. The gannets are sitting on red dirt with some green plants on it. Far below is the sea, an intense turquoise blue with very small waves.

Thank you. Heliogoland is the only place in Germany where they breed. It was exciting to see them.
