“One of them had his clothes removed and another one was beheaded … the occupation took them all out of their vehicles, led them to this area, executed them, and kicked their bodies into the hole.”

Palestinian Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal described the bodies of Red Crescent and Civil Defense workers recovered in Rafah. He says Israeli forces executed them at point-blank range after detaining them during a rescue mission. Their ambulances were bombed, and their bodies were missing for days. Many were found with zip-tied hands, feet bound, and, as Basal noted, “the least harmed of them had at least 20 gunshots fired at them”—clear signs of execution.
