Enter the Gungeon 2 gets a reveal almost a decade on from the first one, looks like more of the same, but in 3D

I think it lost too much of it’s charm in transition to 3D but what they’ve shown still looks graphically playful. I think the original was lightning in a bottle that won’t be repeated but this could be good in its own way.

I remember the devs saying they took on way too much technical debt and could barely release new content for the original without breaking everything.

I’m glad they’re pulling a Slay the Spire 2 as I always thought EtD was underrated, though I hope the switch to 3D isn’t a gimmick that makes additional content too expensive to produce.

Looks nice! 3D does seem like like the natural next step. That said, I hope they do more with it than just everyone running around the same ol' 2d plane.
