Bullshit. There's a bunch of different subgenres of country. Stadium country is the kind that most people are referencing when they say they hate country music. I'm quite fond of old country.
I hooked up with someone who had her radio set to country music and heard these lyrics three our four times within a few days (the theme was if the singer had a million dollars):

I would buy a truck to pull it.
listening to manufactored pop music and thinking its the entire genre is the most braindead thing you can do. like saying rap only talks about shooting people and stealing and bitches and had no other possible social comments
listening to marty robbins proves its terrible? do you realise how stupid that sounds? or johnny cash? or waylen jennings? or sturgill simpson? i can go on and on about how wrong you are
