No big deal. Very few people check out profiles on Lemmy, and they follow communities, not creators like on Mastodon.
As opposed to Reddit's markdown, you
can embed images with the  syntax
have to add > (yes, the space is required) after every line break to make a continuous quote (including at the
start of empty lines between paragraphs)
need to use the following spoiler syntax (there are no inline spoilers):

Also, you can edit post titles and links. And we don't have a contract with YouTube, Imgur or i.redd.it that allows us to simply embed their content correctly (look up cross-domain origin) so you better use a service that just gives the file to anyone who asks via a direct link (the built-in pict-rs media upload on your instance, catbox.moe or GitHub)
