I’ve found the writing in the newer games to lack personality in comparison to the old ones (which I find to be very sterile).

I really hope they don’t change it too much, and preserve the personality of the original characters.

Estelle in particular is quite punched-up in comparison to the original script. Hard to say where this is gonna go.

I'm also entertaining the possibility that this is just marketing speak and that they are still using a lot of the XSEED script. It's already shown up in the early press materials.

But the earlier press material was done before they had GungHo as publisher. GungHo is the one, that said to do a new localization. But could still be marketing speak
