This has me thinking of the SNL skit where all the good URLs are already taken so a company had to settle for clownpenis.fart. I can imagine a skit with a new death metal act attempting to come up with good names that aren’t already taken
Except that Death broke up in 1977 and nobody knew who they were until 2009, when their unreleased recordings were released as an album. Then everyone pretended they knew about them all along.

The punk band Death beat them to it by 12 years though.
