Brush: Wolf Whiskers - "Gianmaria" w/Maggard 26mm Synthetic
Razor: Gold Dollar 5/8 Full Hollow (3)
Lather: Barrister and Mann - Roam Two - Soap
Post Shave: Stirling Soap Co. - Varen - Aftershave
Post Shave: Dove - Men+Care Ultra-Hydra - Cream
Wow, color me impressed! I figured after using some good, professional edges for the past ~week, coming back to my edge, which does NOT pass the packing peanut test, would be horrible. It wasn't horrible! In fact, the results are quite possibly the best so far!
This edge, as a reminder, is only two steps (similar to what Koraat does, apparently). 600 to set the bevel, and straight to 10,000. Lots of work at 10,000, of course, but still.
My 'Shaving Data System' (SDS) is finally ready for the big leagues, and I mean it this time! I've been "finished" building it for days and days now, but I kept learning new things, coming up with new tricks, and making it so much better.
I think the only real bug now is the problem with mobile browsers (on Android at least (edit: confirmed working on an iPad, no iPhone to test, though)) not letting you search through your stuff. So, scrolling it is for now. (Edit 2: maybe my phone is just too slow, because if I’m very very patient, eventually I can filter the dropdowns)
Fragrance: House of Mammoth / Noble Otter / Declaration Grooming – Cerberus
The Maggard Meet FOMO is real, especially those BaM "Intro to fragrance kits" seem great. Alas, it's too difficult to me to justify travelling intercontinentally for a hobby fair. Maybe some time in the future.
Koké is great. The pear and musk are fresh and warm at the same time, sweet without being cloying or even gourmand, really a unique fragrance category in my den. I had a great shave to start the week, time to start the grind.
Lather Mike’s Natural Soaps - Orange, Cedarwood, and Black Pepper
Post Shave: Catie’s Bubbles - Reflection
I followed u/Old_Hiker sage advice of “Load the shit out of it. Lots of water” for Mike’s and the lather was leaps and bounds better today. Probably could have loaded even more and used even more water, but I got a satisfactory lather and shave today with nothing to complain about.
I got this tub from KerblimeySkal and had it not been for him, I’d not have tried it as soon. The straight Vetiver would def be a good pick up. Most of my Vetiver heavy soaps are from CBubs so I got that area covered already. Who knows I may want some more Mike’s eventually.
Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - Roam Two Aftershave splash
Post Shave: Stirling - Glacial Unscented Aftershave balm
Fragrance: Chanel - Égoïste EdT
No straight tonight because I'm way too tired and want to let my skin heal a bit.
Phenomenal shave with Mike's Vetiver, and Roam Two is always excellent. No frag after the shave, but this is what I wore to work today. It's quickly becoming a favorite.
I definitely prefer shaving in the morning, but it's much easier for me to get a run in if I can get out of the house before work. It's also not a bad way to wind down at the end of the day.

The Mike's brand really appeals to me. One of these days I'll try their Vetiver.
