I thought it would be in a movie too, but the closest I found was a tv documentary https://blogs.chapman.edu/huell-howser-archives/1999/01/08/trestle-californias-gold-1006/

The trestle part starts at around 19:00.

When I saw the name of the sub I was expecting to see a dildo laying under a park bench or something, but this it really cool. Some Stand by Me vibes in this picture.
