3, damn it!

"That gave you the idea to go with Charlie's idea?!"

"It seemed logical."

"I don't know, man. Maybe we should blow up the bar and see if doing it Mac's way is better..."

SatyrSack@feddit.org · 3 pts · 1y

That would be certified badass for sure

SatyrSack@feddit.org · 3 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Are all these comments of yours referencing something in particular?

grue@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Yeah, I'm trying to break us out of the meme loop!

(Or am I referencing the wrong episode?)

SatyrSack@feddit.org · 4 pts · 1y

Oh, I see! Yeah, that is the correct episode.

Aaand now my subconscious believes Spock is a black woman. Thanks.

OpenStars@piefed.social · 1 pts · 1y (15 replies)

As long as you believe it for a dozen, a hundred times.

(This is only supposed to make as much sense as the flawless logic of black-woman Spock ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ‘‚)

TachyonTele@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 1y (14 replies)

You don't see the gif flip between Spock and a black woman?

SatyrSack@feddit.org · 5 pts · 1y (8 replies)

I am not sure what counts as "black", but for me, the last couple frames of the GIF are of T'Pring

TachyonTele@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 1y (7 replies)

Yes, that actress is black lol Not sure why you'd deny it

SatyrSack@feddit.org · 2 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Probably because of her skin tone

TachyonTele@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 1y

Casting directors, among other Hollywood insiders, called Martel the Chameleon because her appearance and her proficiency with accents and dialects enabled her to portray characters of a wide range of races and ethnicities

I might have been bamboozeled by her talent. I'd say that's a good thing.

Skullgrid@lemmy.world · -1 pts · 1y (4 replies)

I'll bite, what black phenotypes is she showing?

Her skin colour is the same as the guy in the background, straight hair, pointy nose.

I understand through the history of the US, that people are considered black based on their heritage and that some people are mixed to the point where they become pale and etc, but this particular person in this particular frame doesn't seem as obviously black as Uhura to a non-black viewer.

bradorsomething@ttrpg.network · 2 pts · 1y

Iโ€™m pretty sure sheโ€™s vulcan.

TachyonTele@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 1y

I don't give in to concern trolling.
You're just being stupid.

ummthatguy@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y (1 reply)

You mean T'Pring?

TachyonTele@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 1y

I mean T'shwing!

OpenStars@piefed.social · 2 pts · 1y (2 replies)

I see it. I was reaching desperately too far to make the joke about dozen and hundred, but apparently I failed.

No shaming yourself allowed here. You're good, friend.

OpenStars@piefed.social · 2 pts · 1y

The LaForge system

Learn about her existence
Act like a fucking idiot
Forge a version of her in the holodeck
Obsess constantly
Regret
Get over it
Erase holodeck program

pinball_wizard@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 1y

I want you to know that this is the best comment I've ever seen.

(Attempting to phrase this like Mac would. But sincerely, this is amazing.)
