Use Newpipe to listen to Youtube Music or videos in the background

Newpipe is really good. Plus it supports sources apart from Youtube too.

BTW, Brave and Firefox browsers for Android also support playing videos in background.

try InnerTune available in FDroid it pulls data from YoutubeMusic

YouTube Music Revanced is better imo
