I have downloaded every season of MAS*H in beautiful 1080p, there is a problem however, the only audio track includes a laugh track. Hard for me to watch and enjoy.
I downloaded another copy of the series, this time in only 480p, but there isn't a laugh track, hooray!
Is there a way to remove the audio stream from one and replace the other?
Is there such a program?

There's probably a way to do that, but probably a lot easier to just look for new rips that don't have the soundtrack. I don't think all seasons of MASH had the soundtrack so you shouldn't need to redownload them all.

ffmpeg should be able to strip and add the audio for whatever you're using.

Maybe run 2 instances of VLC, one visible but muted with the 1080p video, the 480p version unmuted in the background. Seems kinda tedious though, granted. But replacing audio tracks on video media files sounds to me like you're getting into audiovisual software territory, and I heard that comes with a learning curve.

Yeah - you can use VLC to both strip out and add audio tracks to a video.

The laugh track though adds to the nostalgia. I used to listen for a particular laugh each episode...my personal Wilhelm Scream
