finally got around to setting up my hole. Stupid easy and it's already blocking ads. Feels like a breath of fresh air

I don't recommend RPi1 for Pi-hole... It's underpowered and might become a network bottleneck. Speaking out of experience here

It performs well enough in my small household, but I can see how it would suffer in a network with a lot of devices.

All the same things you can do with Raspberry Pi Pico.

Slap it onto your lathe to make a CNC lathe.

I used mine as a CUPS printserver to share a USB printer on the network. It was pretty slow when spooling though.

Just a side comment. I have a tinkerboard and I can't find shit to do with it either. The support is lackluster

If you're a musician, MiniDexed or if you're into stage lights or otherwise need a DMX-controller: Qlc+
