The jury in a sexual assault case against five former world junior hockey players in London, Ontario, has been discharged. The case is now proceeding with just a judge. On Thursday, a juror sent a note to the judge that outlined concerns that two defence lawyers were whispering to each other and laughing "as if they are discussing our [jurors'] appearance" as they entered the courtroom. All five defence teams asked for a mistrial or for the jury to be discharged, citing perceived "prejudice" of the jurors against the defence.
