Who doesn't know the situation: Quickly leaving office to catch a train or join some dinner or sport class, but then the laptop cannot be powered off due to a #Windows update.
The software alternative https://eu-os.eu/ installs updates invisible in the background. After a reboot, the users have a freshly updated system without any waiting time! In many ways, #Linux is more advanced than #Windows!

I needed to do something on Windows for work real quick recently. The laptop had started installing updates in the background despite updates being paused. This slowed down the whole computer. Once it finished it told me to restart but that didn't actually complete the update and it remained laggy. So I unpaused updates, the update and reboot option flashed and then it decided to download more updates. I was unable to use the laptop for the next day when I needed it but luckily I had a spare.
