Ramsdale White Gabriel Saliba Timber Rice Odegard Havertz Saka Nketiah Martinelli
If Zinchenko is fit, he plays for Timber. I think we'll have a lot of the ball, and thus, can expect Rice to be a stopper. Let Havertz run in the midfield and be the highest player on the field quite often, leaving Eddie available to poach some chances.
Fact is, I could easy switch Partey for Havertz, Trossard for Nketiah.

11-0-0, a very daring formation.

Handbrake off.

I'm naturally more defensive, so I think I'd go Partey for Havertz, and have Rice move forward more when we have the ball, Xhaka style.
But what I like most is that all these are quality options!

Partey at right back was not even a thought.

Wait what? Partey as rearmost DM/CM. Rice moving forward more and Ode OM.

We were both right. Sort of.

Had a wedding last night and got 3 hours sleep. It's going to be a miracle if I make it for KO tomorrow.
Really hoping we can open the season with the win. On paper this should be a pretty easy opener, but I'm worried last seasons success might have the players feeling extra stress.

Plenty of time for sleep! Still got over 12 hours until kick off lad!

This is crazy. A formation/setup completely untried during preseason. What's Mikel cooking?
coygsu@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 3y
Idk, he might be underestimating Forest. I'd prefer either a double 6 with Partey or Trossard for Havertz.

Flo just posted the lineup on his Instagram story. Feels very backhanded to me.

I've learnt to just ignore his social media.

tbf, on the other hand he twote a "coyg" on twitter

He's listed as injured.

Let's batter them. I would really like some revenge for our away lose.

Word is, we didn't get the paperwork done in time for Raya. Wonder if we'll see Hein or Okonkwo — and which one — on the bench then. (or possibly even Hillson)
Astrealix@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y
Or maybe even Runarsson
Astrealix@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 3y
Both Okonkwo and Hein.

Do you guys think we'll see a different starting 11 from the Community Shield match?
Astrealix@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 3y
Definitely different. We don't need the defensive stability of Rice Partey, so Havertz at left 8 for me and Nketiah at striker. Rumour is that Rice isn't fully fit so we should let Partey be the 6 for the game as well.
Astrealix@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 3y
Delay at the turnstiles; game starts half an hour late. Probably cuz of the new system.
kleautviool@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y
Let's see if Trossard starts. The man deserves it
katie_lied@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y
Agreed. I think he will start Trossard and Havertz. Maybe Rice on the bench and load the attack for the first half. Need to come out of the blocks fast tomorrow.

We got a match thread going?

Someone's gonna get fired or have to write a full length report regarding this ticketing system lol

MHPengwingz@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y
Already plan to make a big old pot of coffee tomorrow am since got evening shift tonight.
I'm hoping we see Trossard start.

Potential 3-2-2-3 with no Magalhaes, Kai and Ø behind front 3.

Man Cheaty scored, proving to everyone all over the world that cheating wins.

😑 were there any problems the other day with entry?
Matt_Sams_314@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y
No, seemed fine for Monaco
MHPengwingz@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 3y
I'm wondering....if some dumbasses forgot to update to the new app?
Matt_Sams_314@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y
The pass is on Apple / Google wallet, not the app itself. It seemed the whole of the ticket / gate system needed to be reset at one point as no one was getting in.
HaleEndGrad@lemmygrad.ml · 1 pts · 3y
Low intensity match, Zina has to start.
Astrealix@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y
Apparently he's not available for the game. Neither is Tierney or Holding.
