About 12 hours ago, as mentioned in my previous post, I blocked traffic from lemmy.world and the queues went from 6 hours behind to caught up. So, it worked.
I've decided, at least for now, to block all Lemmy traffic, for the same reasons, to see how the server behaves without the huge number of Lemmy requests.
The best way to follow Lemmy groups is from Lemmy, Piefed or MBIN. Friendica was designed for small private and small public groups. It just cannot handle the traffic that comes in from these servers without having a huge server and a ton of disk space.
I wish this were not the case.
