There's exactly one thing they can do to appeal to the typical electric vehicle fan, and they won't do it. I love EVs but will never, ever consider purchasing a Tesla while fascist, Sieg Heil-ing, government-destroying Elon Musk has any association with the company.

To really cut ties they would need to remove all upper level leadersip and the entire board. Also almost every major stockholder would need to divest. So borderline impossible without bankruptcy or sale of the company.
