Sadly I didn't get to do any camping there. Usually when I'm out in Utah I'm car touring with my folks. So it tends to be roadside and short hike experiences.
I traveled through here in 1996. It still lives in my memory, one of my favorite stretches of highway. I saw some amazing things taking scenic two lane highways on my way through New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California, ending our farthest western terminus at the Golden Gate.
Indeed. Some of the views you can just see from the car can be pretty amazing. It can make it a bit of a challenge to drive at times since all you want to do is gawk at the scenery.
