Isn't this from season 7?

So if I say the nickname "Grimey," as he liked to be called, that doesn't mean anything to you?

Season 4 was the best season, Luddite.

goa_mpu@feddit.de · 4 pts · 3y

"Dental Plan"

Haven't watched it regularly in many years, but once or twice a season i catch one of the new episodes and they're still great! Idk what everyone is bitching about. Seriously, go watch the latest episode im sure you will laugh plenty.

I’m what, a level three? S10-14, but skipping many eps in 13 and 14. Some bangers in those two, though.

habitualcynic@lemmy.ml · 8 pts · 3y (2 replies)

Yeah skipping episodes is a must after S11 and it’s unwatchable after 14. 1-8 were gold, 9-10 good, 11-13 you can see the cracks.

Pssha I watched it on SNL before it got all mainstream.

Zorque@kbin.social · 18 pts · 3y (2 replies)

First time I realised the Simpsons had become bad was "Mapple".

son_named_bort@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y

You watch seasons 2 and 3? Ew.

CarlsIII@kbin.social · 2 pts · 3y

Wow, that means if you skip the first 2 seasons, you only get 1 season!

Magnetar@feddit.de · 2 pts · 3y

The season with the pink shirt is peak, the season with Armin Tamzarian is the last one that's agreeable to watch.

BigDanishGuy@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 3y (2 replies)

Everything after s05 is meh... I mean talk about beating a dead horse. And now Disney has revived Futurama for what? The 3rd time? I only watch it because I hope it will be funny, kinda like how some, yours truly included, followed Simpsons far too long.

It's time to realize that Futurama will never be "doctor, my lead pipe hurts. That's normal, next patient!" or "Hey Universe, check out the dude with the Rolex!" funny again.

collegefurtrader@discuss.tchncs.de · 1 pts · 3y (1 reply)

After S05 it feels like fanfic writing. Like an immature attempt.

Zorque@kbin.social · 1 pts · 3y

It suffers from Comedy Central syndrome, where everything has to be a pop culture reference or super edgy with little substance.

There's still some good episodes, like Lethal Inspection, The Late Philip J Fry, and Meanwhile, but they still all mostly feel kind of empty.
