Surely this can be not only done, but done better. A lot of EV tech since then makes this an easier build than it seems.

Eh, if I'm hauling around a 40+ lb object, I want it to provide more travel utility than I could just walk. You can get more range out of a OneWheel, and it can probably handle hills better.
