Formatting help?

Hey all, I came across a post the other day regarding the differences between Lemmy and Kbin markdown. I learned there that you can actually create nice little tables for organizing data. Unfortunately I didn't bookmark the post (edit: found the post!) and now I can't remember how to create a table. So I have two questions for you guys:

  1. Can anyone demonstrate creating a table in lemmy markdown? EDIT: found the post

  2. Is there an official or in-depth lemmy formatting guide/ documentation anywhere? EDIT: Provided by @mizu6079@lemmy.world, thank you! Here is the official formatting guide.

EDIT 2: As noted by @miked@lemmy.world, there is no mention of tables in the current CommonMark Spec, which begs the question: What else is missing from the official documentation?

The official guide and the CommonMark reference don't have tables. I went through them both a few days ago.

Just looked through the current CommonMark Spec and don't see it there. (someone check if I'm wrong)

What other stuff are we missing?

Well darn, I hoped it was just me being a dumdum rather than the info being missing from documentation.

What other stuff are we missing?

Same question I'm asking myself now...

Appears to be part of the extensions but I didn't see a definitive list.

Thanks, great resource! Just one thing, I can't seem to find how to create tables in the link, maybe if I dig deeper I will. However I did find the original post I was referring to: https://lemmy.ca/post/743625
