That moment when genocide deniers unironically cite the ADL and call other sources biased

Cognitive dissonance is deeply uncomfortable and most people will double down on whatever will validate their priors rather than face a preponderance of sources that contradict them.

Okay I am with you but to be clear these sources do absolutely have bias. There is no such thing as unbiased information.

In this case they're biased for reality since there is a genocide happening in Gaza rn. But when the person saying this also dismisses a genocide as "not genocide, it's a war crime" and then unironically sites a source that's ran by Zionists, that's how you know you're not dealing with someone who is speaking in good faith on this issue

edit: wording, bit tipsy and I can't type rn

I don't think a ban would be seen as ceasing to be a ban just because there are federation glitches right now that causes the ban to fail to be federated (not to be confused with a community you are "banned" from and only your instance can interact with you in), but whatever. You're probably right. Assuming you're even anyone who has been here before.

I cited Snopes too.

This does undermine the OP's point.

Nvm, it's a different federation glitch causing this, the one that leads you to the wrong places.

Sure, but a genocide denier probably doesn't have that bit of nuance.
