Now I wonder if those types of missiles can be intercepted by the iron dome. Those missiles fly pretty high and come down quite fast, almost vertically, causing the error of the Iron Dome to get maximized. Additionally, that thing has a 1.5t warhead, causing a lot of destruction.

The Iron-Dome system only works on short-range targets. Israel's Arrow and US-supplied THAAD systems are the only weapons they have that can intercept high-altitude ballistic missiles, but they are expensive and in short supply.
