If a nuclear power who doesn't like the USA is involved, they could nuke all of their allies, which includes nz

Well, without that region, no one could stockpile forces to run through Asia in a single turn and blockade from the Urals to soak up the bonus reinforcements from occupying the entire Eastern half of the board. So there's that, I guess?
