I've never done NES emulation before (more of a DOS retrogamer), but should be a fun project.

You are welcome. NES emulation is quite easy there are many good NES Emulators. I am not sure about patching the ROM I did not have a chance to look at it to see if it is a simple IPS patch or something more complex.
