You're just wrong here. AEDs do nothing for a stopped heart. AEDs treat a couple of specific, common, dysrrhythmias which can be brought on by a heart attack, or by something else. Increased AED access and CPR training absolutely has had an effect on cardiac related deaths. There are a ton of studies out there showing that.

AEDs are not for heart attacks. They are for when your heart stops.
Heart attacks aren't as fatal because emergency response times are higher than ever.
AEDs have nothing to do with this.
