Yeah... Wasn't that the point? Like Normies are people who's aren't terminally online and function in normal society.

I even saw someone call it a "pejorative" the other day. So being called a normal person is an insult now? Lol

Normalcy is a catch-22. If you're aware enough to identify you're abnormal, and are aware of normal, then you have the competency to be normal which makes you normal. But if you say you're normal and you're really abnormal, then you're also normal because it's normal to identify yourself as the normal

In other words, "normal" doesn't exist within the context of human behavior, only the societal norms I guess. Conform!

MoonshineDegreaser@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

No. I'm saying that if you think you're normal, you're normal. If you think you're abnormal, then you're conscious to your abnormality, which makes you normal

Ah, but what if I'm abnormal as the result of neurodivergence or queerness?

MoonshineDegreaser@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y (2 replies)

You're normal because you aren't the only one like

HardlightCereal@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)
