For me it was 1mg, 4mg total. I'm guessing they made actual sublingual pills for the study, but I broke apart oral 2mgs to make it work. No waking up. Every 4 hours fits neatly into my awake time. Starting at 7 in the morning then last dose at 7 in the evening.
I do concede there are times I wanted to just give up and beg for injections. Get a wristwatch with timers. If it's a smart watch get a medication app that dings you. I think android and ios have native medication apps that can ping you. After so many months now the medication has become ritualized. Also they sell cute pill travel cases with a compact mirror.
