That’s a big assumption that eight cupcakes was the top end of the scale.

Good for OOP when that's their limit. On the other side, why even get therapy when you never are really sad

Therapy is often a prescribed friend that listens to your problems and makes you feel heard. In this day and age with so much alienation, a lot of people can do with one.

It at least can provide context relative to a known state.

Any additional cupcakes consumed after the session may be a talking point for the next session, which really helps with customer retention and job security.

whats a televist

ComfortableRaspberry@feddit.org · 22 pts · 1y (5 replies)

I guess there is an I missing and it's meant to be televisit as in a long distance session e.g. through teams instead of meeting in the therapists office

tetris11@lemmy.ml · 8 pts · 1y (4 replies)

what in holy Asimov is "televisit" doing replacing the established term of "videocall"

phdepressed@sh.itjust.works · 12 pts · 1y (2 replies)

It's specific to virtual medical appointments. It's a televised visitation instead of an in-person clinical visit.

A videocall is for a generic phone call with video.

TomAwsm@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Doesn't "televised" mean broadcasted?

Not to argue with you, I'm just trying to make sense of this.

phdepressed@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 1y

The doctor does usually have the patient on a TV screen. But I guess it's just cast rather than broadcast lol.

BakedCatboy@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 1y

It's like using the term telemedicine or telehealth instead of doctors visit. It's just more specific than other established terms like video call or phone call.

"My dear Watson" my friend said, swallowing deeply, blue icing colouring his lips as though the bitter chill had gotten to him, "it is a three cupcake problem, nothing more."
