I'll probably start sourcing more of my data for these posts, so people can independently verify themselves.


Russia had 133 of these at the start of the war and there are 41 visual confirmations of Ka-52s destroyed. Considering visual confirmations are lower than actual destruction and a notable percent of airframes won't be ready to fly at any one point, Russia really doesn't have many of these.

normally it's not, but Ka-52 has a system that pops propeller off in such case. it's very unusual

It almost never works. I think there are only a couple of the shoot down videos where they use it, and my understanding is it's only worked a couple times this whole war.
