I always loved coming across “&c” in (older) writings. Like how can we make “etc” any shorter?

On a related note, the ampersand originated as a ligature of “et”.

Apple slices are an underutilized sandwich constituent. They do go really well with Dijon mustard, for some reason that I can't quite explain.

Today agree. Gives a great texture and light sweetness. They are a staple building block at my house but I’ve only seen them in specialty sandwiches IRL.
