Makes sense. Ford is negotiating with the union and doesn't want to show its hand.

Plus, getting more familiar with the manufacturing side of the business could actually be a good exercise for the engineers.

It's actually really cool in a way. Every organization should send at least their Supply Management employees into the field so they can see their impact.
