Had the pleasure of going there some time ago. I really liked it. It's a serene town, the park with the museums and monuments is brilliant. They manage to both highlight the atrocious effect of the bomb while also not shying away from their role in the war.
Highly recommend visiting if you get a chance

I had planned to visit a few months ago on my first trip to Japan but had to back out to make a domestic flight. I regret not making that visit. 😔
