At the behest of my kids, I've written a 150k word reimagining of one of their favorite properties (an Anime/Manga) that incorporates new characters into the world. Sadly, it falls squarely in the "it's copyrighted material," so I cannot actually publish it. However, they want to share with their friends and said I should put it online. What are some good sites? Is Archive of Our Own still the best?

AO3 is still the best. Did you know they recently got engaged to tumblr?

My wife reads a lot of AO3. What do you mean by engaged with tumblr in this context? Are they partnering for something?

Engaged to be married, a blushing bride and a dashing groom, finally together after pining for each other in secret for years. Pinterest is doing the wedding planning, I hear. Popular ship names are Tagteam or ao3blr.
::: spoiler spoiler https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/tagteam?sort=top No there's nothing planned, the two sites just have A LOT of overlap in their userbases so everybody's having a bit of fun :)

Pretty much everything is on AO3 these days.

I think your best bet is either AO3 or tumblr.

If you want to share it with other kids, I'd suggest publishing it on something non-specialised and just sharing a link. You can do AO3 as well for the larger world.

I personally like fanfiction.net better than AO3, but I believe AO3 is the bigger one
