I caught this image of a blue jay (Cyanocitta cristata) at the edge of the birdbath. I think the jay has just taken a drink and is letting the water slide down its throat—or maybe it’s looking at something above. My favorite interpretation is that the bird is daydreaming of a bird paradise, and the out-of-focus cardinal in the upper left corner is part of the dream.
