Brent Hinds, Mastodon Co-founder and Former Lead Guitarist, Dead at 51

Fuck. Mastodon were a shadow recently without him, I was hoping for a reconciliation. Far too young. Far too talented

Fuck, that's sad. So young, and so soon after the firing. Didn't even have a chance to go on to his next thing. A great talent.

In March, the band announced that they parted ways with the guitarist. “We’re deeply proud of and beyond grateful for the music and history we’ve shared and we wish him nothing but success and happiness in his future endeavors,” the band wrote. (Hinds would later claim he was kicked out of the band.)

His claim was a lot of misspelt rage filled sour grapes.

Kelly was fired from Neurosis for abusing his family.
