I keep finding pebbles with a dark purple color. They are not too common, but I see them every now and then. The picture is the best I could get with my phone camera. I tried my best to recreate the color these rocks have:
Some are more of a dark purple, this one is a little more pink than usual.
Found in southern Finland.

It's possible that it's garnet, if you hold it up to a strong light source, is it translucent at all?
