A few years back, a local radio station played a Steve Albini mix of HSB. If you haven't heard it yet, I would suggest you go looking for it. It's rawer than what appeared on the album and after a few listens, I think I prefer the Albini mix.

I've tried to give it some thought today and I keep coming back to "Preacher's Daughter" by The Refreshments. Honestly, the first 3 songs of The Bottle and Fresh Horses are just a killer bunch of songs. Maybe the first 4, but Sin Nombre changes the mood.

Radiohead for me. On paper I should LOVE Radiohead. While I like some of their songs, frustratingly the band just never clicked for me. š¢
