I would suggest talking with a doctor. They should be able to help you identify what type of wheelchair you need and then point you in the right direction.
Wish I had advice for you but this is one of those threads im going to keep open as I would like to have something in my brain for if I ever am trying to figure this out.

Do you have a social worker? Are you in a disability payments application process?
Sometimes they have wheelchair programs or discounts. Worth asking cuz wheelchair can come out expensive and often isn’t insured.

You should be able to use PIP for that purpose hopefully (unless Starmers cuts affect you but I think that’ll take a while).
Ur situation of navigating bureaucratic nightmare is all too common :(.
