Watching Youtube via Kodi but without the official Youtube app

Is it possible? I can't really be bothered to get the API key...

SmartTubeNext is fantastic. Have you checked out ReVanced for mobile? It's better than NewPipe imo.

I've been using vanced and then revanced on my phone for a long time now and it's an amazing app

Iirc Kodi YouTube requires an API key.to.function correctly.

This is required due to YouTube's restrictions on anonymous API requests.

It is possible. It is also a massive pain in the arse. I got it working but then couldn’t get relevant recommendations or anything. It’s pretty much - know what you want and search for it exactly.

Thankfully my setup is a PC with a keyboard attached so I just Alt+Tab and use a browser.

Anyone have the "Media content not available ..." when using newpipe to stream on Kodi, and a fix for it?
