Can't they just use the other end of the tattoo gun to erase a wall?

You know, I didn't think to ask.

A labyrinth is a maze

As I understand it, they're similar but different. A maze has multiple paths, some of which may not lead to the end, while a labyrinth has one solution that will lead to the end - even if it takes a while.

I don't claim to be an expert, despite the pattern on my back, but from what I've read and heard they're not the same.

edit: I did a few DDG searches to verify this and found results that support both your claim and mine, so maybe you're right.

Mazes can take on two forms: multicursal or unicursal. A multicursal maze has multiple paths that lead to the center, while a unicursal maze has only one solution. Labyrinths are unicursal and are very similar to mazes with one main difference; the entrance also serves as the exit.

Stolen from Google.

So technically this is a unicursal maze, not a labyrinth.
