There's a launcher called "Minecraft Bedrock Launcher" that's been working fine for me.

This is based on the Android version if I remember correctly. You need to buy the game on PlayStore and while it run fine, it's more towards touchscreen control than mouse/keyboard (even do it works, its UI is not built for) or controller.

It is based on the android version, but the UI is now the same as in Java version.

Isn't the mobile UI for Bedrock the same as the regular UI for Bedrock?

It is now, unless you're running it on a small screen. The touch controls disappear unless you have a touch screen, and the inventory UI is the same across all large screen devices.

Huh, strange. Maybe it's because the Realm I play on has a resource pack on, but for me the UI defaulted to the PC layout. I'll have to check later.

I think we must've gotten hung up on some double negatives, sorry. What I meant is, the default UI on bedrock for large enough screens is the standard PC layout, just like on Java.

Oh, I just realised in your first reply to me you were agreeing with me, oops.

Comprehension is the responsibility of the speaker. You're good. I should've been more clear.

No, it's optimized for touchscreen, at least when I played it, inventories like chest was radically differents.

Oh right, forgot about that. There should be an option in the Video settings to return the GUI to normal.

Same. I play on a realm with my kids who play on Switch, and it's practically identical to the Java experience at this point.

i wish I could have got that working properly. it ran well in handheld, but I could never get a wireless controller to work with any real reliability.

I wasn't giving advice for pirating it. You're on your own for that if you can't afford the $7.00 to get a copy from the play store.

I think it has some Microsoft DRMs that are making hard to make it runs but I think people have been able to make it boot so there is progress.

Want to hear a joke? Minecraft on Switch requires a Microsoft account. I’ve given up on Minecraft thanks to Microsoft.
