I stopped watching CBS News after a station in Milwaukee fired a Meteorologist after a right wing radio host criticized her for calling Musks Nazi salute a Nazi salute on her personal instagram.
The guardian is so weird. They gloss over the fact that CNN was acquired by a right wing billionaire during Bidens term, and seem to intentionally obfuscate the fact that Jeff bezos owns and controls the wall street journal (giving credit to Rupert murchoch for some reason?) That is, until the last two paragraphs of the article where they casually mention bezos personally intervening in the editorial standards of the paper he owns.
I mean this isnt even a comprehensive overview, much less a detailed analysis of the right wing political influence over basically every single media outlet in the country. We just watched universal lockstep messaging on Charlie kirk like come on. The seriousness of this topic and how blatantly obvious it is should make this story very easy to write.
Also, nitpick, but with everything else wrong with this article; trying to read this paragraph in particular really pissed me off lmao

Someone please explain what this even means!!! What word other than finessed were they trying to fit there??
I'm sorry, I'll stop. I got excited that someone finally wrote an article about the complete takeover of our media infrastructure and this was just devastatingly lackluster.
