If there is something I trust 100% in Austria it's the slowness of the bureaucracy, so even if they reverse this decision it'll be another 50 years before they switch back - and by then it'll be too expensive and not worth it so they'll stick to LibreOffice forever.
Didn't want to give the impression I'm just complaining about Austria so put it there just incase... But I will say I have never filled as many forms as I have since moving to Austria
a friend of mine is getting their PhD in germany; the bureaucracy is nightmarish!
and slow...sooooo slooooooow!
they regularly have issues getting funds approved, even when applying months in advance, and regularly doesn't have confirmation that his position will be continued into the next semester, and on and on... it's seriously non-stop bullshit!
makes me very glad that austrian bureaucracy, even though massively inefficient and excessive, at least works on human timelines!
Ouch... Sounds like it's tough to plan ahead anything...
Definitely! It's slow and excessive like you said, but it works (in my limited experience). When it doesn't work I can just be annoying and persistent with my phone calls and then it usually ends up working out fine lol.
The main thing I want is the ability to use a downloaded libreoffice that has online collaboration (not just file sync) with Collabora. Unless I set it up wrong, my nextcloud sheets just feels sluggish, even though Google sheets or excell doesn't.

you accidentally put a "/s" at the end as if that isn't exactly what austria is like XD

Slightly more than the Austrian naval forces.
