This was unexpected but I'm glad goat came to their senses and realized we've never been tankies. Unfortunately all this caused a lot of bad blood which will take a while to heal, but I personally don't hold grudges like that. However I'm sure other regulars will maintain their own thoughts on this.
You was in one of the post where someone claimed bbc was pro hamas. It's been a long time that i didn't visit the community i was even blocked for critisizing his double standard in another community but i never saw them removing any zionist propaganda . There was even a guy that deny herzl has influence on the creation of israel by mass displacing palestinians
Honestly "zionist propaganda" has become such a hysterical dog whistle on lemmy ( I've been straight up accused of spreading "zionist propaganda " for pointing out that Jews, zionists and kahanists are different things) that it's absolutely meaningless at this point
Sure some people may use the term wrongly but if you use zionists talking points then you are a zionist is simply as that.
Similar to antisemitism, israel using it as a dog whistle doesn't mean that real antisemites are not in the internet and thst they are rightfully called antisemite.
I mean, you can literally look up the context. I simply said "Some people need to work out if they’re talking about Jews or Zionists or Kahanists" on a post about people conflating Israel and Jewish people and oh my look at that. Now I'm being painted an israeli defender, a genocide defender, a zionist...none of which is true. And you've picked up the thread and just barrelled onwards with it, with zero fuckin' information other than your own self righteous bias.
THAT is what I'm talking about.
And honestly, when people start getting pissy about me being clear about the difference between Jewish people - as in the worldwide tribal identifier - and a genocidal regime in Israel I side eye the living fuck out of them. Why do you want to conflate the two so hard, hmm?
